Why use screen printing?
Screen Printing is a method in which ink is applied directly to the surface to be printed (t-shirts, poster, bags, etc.). The better the art, the better the result will be. Unless the artwork is only one color, it is also necessary at this stage to decide how many colors of ink you’ll use and where each color will go to create the image you desire.
Keep in mind that the more colors you use, the more expensive and time-consuming the process will be because each new color will require a unique screen. The image to be printed is transferred to a fabric (the screen) such that the non-printing areas are blocked off and the fabric serves as a stencil. The ink is wiped across the screen to pass through the unblocked pores to reach the substrate, (print material). For each color to be printed, a separate screen is prepared and the process is repeated.
Special equipment is needed for screen printing as well as someone who has experience and attention to detail.
